Recently, users discovered that searches like site:claude.ai/share and site:claude.ai/public/artifacts returned publicly shared Claude conversations through search engines. Some indexed pages reportedly contained resumes, company discussions, code, and other sensitive information. Makes sense. However, I have no idea why you would share an AI chat on a public space…
idr how share works, if you continue a conversation isnt it on your account, like the original conversation starter isn’t getting xharged, anyone sharing it anywhere publically indexed likely isnt sharing sensitive information so I don’t really see the issue
People share sensitive information all the time in places and ways they shouldn’t - they think noone is looking, noone is listening, noone is recording - the problem is: when it goes on the web, it’s recorded, replayable, visible, for all to see.
