I was doing some part time work at a gas station during the pandemic and got to know some of the regulars pretty well. One of them was telling me about his mushroom harvest and that he was making THC chocolates. So, he comes in the next day and gives me a chocolate, tells me to have a good time. I had the next day off, so I enjoyed it with my morning coffee, it tasted delightful.
About 45 or so minutes later I’m thinking it was weak shit, as I wasn’t feeling stoney at all. So, I go out for a cigarette and write it off as no big loss, it was free after all. After a few drags I notice the cigarette smoke was a little pink here and there, then I started to notice the tree leaves, and that’s when it hit me that it was a mushroom chocolate. Potent, too. It was all go from that point. Luckily I’m a practiced sailor with plenty of experience sailing those seas.
Recalibrated, played some Saints Row 4, had a great time.
One of the things I really appreciate about Vintage Story is that they’ve added psychedelic mushrooms to the game. It’s not a perfect representation, but it’s not too bad either. Eating random mushrooms is far safer in that game than real life, as inspecting them will tell you if they are deadly or not.
