Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville called for New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani to be arrested and sent to the infamous American torture prison at Guantanamo Bay. Mamdani’s crime? Calling indicted alleged war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu an “architect of genocide,” responsible for a series of atrocities in the ongoing war on Gaza.
“Sooner or later,” Mamdani will “do something more stupid than what he’s done, where we will finally say enough is enough, go put the handcuffs on him … and send him to Gitmo,” Tuberville, a Republican, said, calling Mamdani a “thug.”
Ha ha go fuck yourself MAGAt moron.
Also pretty sure the entirety of NY would put up a fight over that if they tried.
Guy from Alabama says some dumb shit. News at 11…
Alabama is the worst state in the union
I feel like we should have a list of all these unhinged politicians top donors and their addresses for situations like this.
That doesnt sound very democratic of him
Stripping an American of rights and locking him up in a gulag?
Tuberville is un-American and I wish his voters knew or cared.
Alabama is the worst state in the union, and Alabamians are the worst, look at who they voted for
They know. They approve because he’s hurting the ‘right people.’
*the left people
Sounds like his gay fantasy. “Tell me what would happen to me locked up with men”
These snowflakes are terrified of this guy.
If I spent my career pretending to be indignant at the inefficiency and ineffectiveness of the government while cosplaying as someone trying to fix the problem, I’d also be scared of the guy who showed it’s not only possible to bring about positive change, but possible to do in less than one term.
They really will do or say anything but their job, huh?
If we’re being real, Mamdami hasn’t even gotten his big plans rolling yet. He passed an easy tax (for people owning houses that don’t even live in NYC) and fixed some potholes. His biggest win was bartering with the state government to get more support (instead of the dreaded “tax the rich”). The rest was normal stuff with good PR aimed at the 21st century. That’s it.
But these relics spent decades minmaxing for cable news and can’t look human on social media at all. They are used to saying words then doing nothing. The bar is that low and they are scared at a dude bending his knees (he hasn’t even jumped yet).
At least they are finally breaking their fake decorum and sayong the quiet parts out loud. Makes it so much easier to tear down in the long term.
Conservatives have to demonize socialism because they know it’s the only possible thing that could pose a realistic threat to their greedy, cruel and self-serving lifestyles.
This fucktwat will do anything to distract from the fact that he’s a moron and a person who committed election fraud.
Tommy Tuberville’s smell test on who should be sent to gitmo:
- Trying to help the taxpayers
- Trying to suffer less in life
- Anyone who has ever looked at a rainbow flag
- Anyone committing crimes so heinous that Tuberville becomes scared that you’ll uncover his fetishes
Getting threatened with gitmo by Tuberville means there’s a 75% chance that you’re pretty cool.

Strict Control: Businesses and daily life are heavily watched and run to match the goals of the state.
What does history teach us about stopping fascism?

Historical anachronism it would’ve been a 1911, Webley revolver, Soviet Nagant, or whatever the fuck the French had look I don’t know French guns.
Ironically I passed over an image of a 1911 because I figured the glock would be more recognized in this day and age
It is, no conservative would admit it though
I would take the last one… but it seems more the contrary these days
Edit: probably it wasn’t clear: I meant the business part. People are not influencing the state evidently
I would take the nationalization of vital industries, like space travel, air travel, trains, education, and healthcare… but
yeah, not that.
Automatic license plate reader (ALPR) companies like Flock Safety are quietly trying to build a nationwide mass surveillance system. If there are Flock cameras in your city, they are tracking, logging, and sharing your movements without a warrant.
Added an edit given it wasn’t clear
Fascism is heavily contradictory. Maybe Joe’ shop is watched carefully for making gay cakes, but WalMart will do whatever they want as long as they donate a ballroom every few years
Historical fascism wasn’t like that: big companies were watched more closely. Each director board of a large company needed to have at least one representative of the fascist party.
Of course, the question is what you do with that power. And there probably fascism fails the “evil test”
But in principle I think that business (especially big business) should serve the common interest (represented by the state) and not the other way around
Yeah, I know what you mean. Sadly, our fascism is a really, really stupid form based around a teenager’s fantasy of a dictatorship. Trump doesn’t care about the potential of large private corporations usurping the throne so he let’s then run free as long as they kiss the ring.
If this managed to extend to decades instead of years (and somehow Trump lived that long), it’d be such a predictable ending for him.
It’s also kinda wrong for fascism, in that in a lot of ways, fascism in practice is a sort of merger of the state and big business.
I’m so tired of Petey Potatotown.

I’ll always laugh at this, it fits everything
I’m really curious if he/they recognized the meme potential of this when they made it. They both seem pretty smart, so I think it has to be a consideration at least. Maybe it was the entire goal? Regardless, it’s perfect and I love seeing it every time.
Wait this was the guy who halted the promotion of a whole bunch of Pentagon personnel because he was mad that the military was covering abortions, right?
Sadly, this trend of someone saying an incredibly reasonable thing that is in line with modern civilization and a MAGAt dropping the amazing reply of calling them stupid without providing any evidence, counterargument, or any effort at all seems to be resonating with low information voters. Things are not looking good, gang.
The issue is the low information voter isn’t hearing the reasonable thing at all. The media will spin Mamdami’s point (“mamdami hates jews!”), then top it off with this quote. So Tubeville sounds “strong” and “defending America”. They won’t ever mention Netanyahu at all, nor the genocide.
Low information voters won’t ever look farther than the spin anyway.
A senator openly calls for arresting a mayor, without naming any crimes, since none were committed, and sending him to the illegal prison where only innocent people are sent and tortured for no reason other than guards’ enjoyment.
People like him belong in high security prisons, ideally far away from society. Assuming they won’t receive capital punishment.
You don’t need crimes or due process if you send them to an illegal prison. That’s the whole point of an illegal prison.
With shit like this “protecting democracy” or “preserve our institutions” sounds so fucking hollow. “Protect our way of life” becomes a fascist dog whistle than just an actual desire for security.
So, exactly on brand from the grand old pedo party
A cage in the desert is fine. Pay minimun wage for an intern to feed him.
The high security prison will likely end up being a five star hotel where he gets full access to the outside anyhow.
