And secondly because experts can also get caught up in groupthink and misinformation. Especially on topics outside their specific subfield.
People who are into technology tend to know a little bit about a lot of things that still rises well beyond the level of the average person. You don’t get onto Lemmy without having some tech ability unless someone helped you set it up.
