It probably started as a therapeutic way for him to take back control of the narrative surrounding his own life and his sobriety journey when he broke his silence a few months ago. Addiction is a mother fucker, having gone through it myself, so I support him and am proud of him.

The poor guy just wanted to actually speak for himself, after years and years of having his name dragged through the mud.
