Yeah, as much as it’s warranted and deserved, finding a willing contingent of NYPD cops to attempt to stop, be able to get past his US and Israeli security details, and actually take him into custody would be pretty incredible.
The right .ove would have been strategic ambiguity. Since he couldn’t do it, hold back the announcement until after the visit. Leave that little cloud of doubt hanging over the war criminal while he’s there.
