The Trump administration has greenlit Saudi Arabia’s nuclear enrichment project, but with no safeguards in place to prevent the development of a bomb, CNN reported on Friday.

The draft deal, viewed by the news outlet, showed Washington’s support for Riyadh’s civilian nuclear programme is still awaiting President Donald Trump’s signature, despite US-Saudi negotiations concluding in October.

Unnamed officials cited in the story indicated that the documents, which include the mandatory “123 agreement” and safeguards protocols, have not yet been sent to Congress, potentially for fear of bipartisan pushback.

Seems to run counter to enacted law. Also, how much you want to bet there will be chicinery with the upcoming government shutdown will provide cloak and cover for this.

Crazy thought: this is all blackmail because Saudi Arabia got a copy of the Epstein files.

That’s great. Really fabulous. Throw it over there on the pile of other irreversibly harmful stuff Trump has done, either for his own glory, or because someone tricked him, and that he won’t be around to see the consequences of.

Does that even matter? Anyone with a brain already knows that Donald Trump and his whole cohort is guilty of pretty much everything in those files.
