Back in May, “Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary made a series of media appearances accusing some vocal opponents of his data center plans in Box Elder County, Utah, of being foreign-backed agents.
Now, Mr. Wonderful is being sued for defamation.
“Recently I appeared on various news programs and would like to clarify that I have no evidence that Alliance for a Better Utah, Elevate Strategies, Gabrielle Finlayson, Taylor Knuth or Josh Kanter are funded by China or the Chinese Communist Party,” [OLeary] wrote in an Instagram post from June 25.
In fact, when we looked deeply into it, we learned that nearly everybody who opposed datacenters had electronic transmitting devices on their person that were at least partially manufactured in China.
You wouldn’t believe the power these things have…I’m telling you man they can record 4k video and upload it immediately to the cloud or store several hours locally.
They have use some sort of proprietary, cell-based RF technology. In optimal conditions these things are cable of over a billion bits of encrypted data per second.
And they are small. Like they can just slip right into their pant pocket, or jacket pocket. I’ve seen some people even using holsters (sometimes even military-spec holsters) to secure these things to their hip or arm, just like a gun.
Why, some of them even bought random crap from Temu.
