Attorney says people have threatened to silence or harm ‘Jane Doe’ if she does not withdraw civil lawsuit

The woman who has alleged that she was drugged and raped by Cornell University students has been the target of threats, her lawyer said on Sunday.

Thomas Giuffra, who represents the woman identified as “Jane Doe”, told CNN that people have threatened to silence or harm her if she does not withdraw her civil lawsuit alleging that several members of a Cornell fraternity drugged and raped her in 2024.

“She’s received multiple threats,” Giuffra said on ‌CNN’s State of the Union.

Giuffra ‌said he had also been threatened.

It’s a super effective method of making something something happen, with little to no risk, and very little effort for the person doing it. However once you realise it’s basically spam most of the time it looses it’s edge.

Because they know their lives are going to get destroyed. They are desperate, which is only going to make it worse for them.

apparently 35% of female students have been victims of some form of SA in the university. cornell rarely punished anyone there. Cornell like other universities will bury any form of assault to keep thier reputation.

To keep their reputation of supporting rapists? You would think they would want to have a reputation of expelling them.

I mean, The only thing I know about them is that they are ivy league and its the school where you can get drugged and gang raped by half a dozen men for hours.

And they won’t even expell your rapists.

PR wise, they have to think about the alumni donating, and these future “men” that become rich alumni that will donate and increase thier reputation.

Can’t get past the idea that some parents would not want their son to go to Cornell because the school wouldn’t protect him when he rapes. Like, maybe focus more on teaching your child not to rape. Or that a graduate’s alumni pride is centered on how much raping the school afforded them over the years. That they would donate more but there was that one semester where their raping numbers were down…

schools only ever care about donations. even our CC when i was in 2000s, had bunch of rich alumni come every now and then to the school. and to stroke thier own ego, they donate to a specific building that has to be built in thier specifications only.

Just plain vile species. Uni doesn’t do much to curb such behavior.

Wonder if the perps come from rich influential pariah families?

No /s. The situation is getting worse for the rapists. They know this and that’s why their victim is getting threatened.
