I used to work at a tourist attraction that would host events and performances in the large fields on their property. I’ve seen thousands of people packed and milling about in open spaces like this.
Looking at the pictures of this shitshow, I’d be incredibly surprised if the visitor count cracked 1500 on any given day. The crowd size for a lot of these pics looks like it’s maybe a few hundred.

Don’t know if you live near DC, but we currently got one hell of a heat wave, something like 103 or so.
And the thing about DC is, its always fucking humid in the summer, making the heat worse (I think the “feels like” today got over 114)
This weekends gonna rain too. And for this area heat + rain is about the most miserable combination possible even with normal summer heat
They announced earlier today the public is banned from attending some of the things happening tomorrow (like the rehearsals for Saturday) because the heats not safe.
This place is likely gonna stay pretty much dead…
I’m in NoVa and the weather is sultry to say the least and I didn’t even take in the fact that its going to be worse in DC.
Also I forget as I’m stuck in a data center for work 10/hr a day. I wear a heavy Carhartt hoodie to keep warm. But its insane when I have to leave to walk to my car.
The annual Minnesota State Fair goes for 12 days and hosts 100k-200k visitors a day. The Alaska state fair averages around 295k over a couple of weeks. This 250 anniversary sham carnival would have to operate for about 1000 years to reach the lowe mark for a single day in MN.
It’s a terribly planned and ran event that people are embarrassed to attend or just don’t want to waste their time standing in the sun with literally no entertainment.
