Republicans and AIPAC dumped MILLIONS against him, calling him everything and anything from their shitty playbook and he still won.
Why? Because he wants Medicare for all, tax the billionaires, abolish ICE
That’s what all Democrats should be running on, instead the establishment is fighting AGAINST people like Abdul and Zohran.
I’m glad folks did not let a woman who said Israel comes to me in my dreams be the winner man lol.
Yes! Eat shit closet Republicans!
Don’t count those chickens yet, race is still too close to call according to every other news organization.
Edit: Hatched!
If he wins in the general, I’ll be very happy for Michigan and the country in general for electing yet another progressive.
Also, get bent Whitmer, you massive disappointment of a data center-loving establishment Democrat. You may have did some good things, but you’re still a neoliberal.
Congrats Michigan!
The Muslim invasion of the West continues, one free healthcare at a time.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee went so far as to produce a digital ad emphasizing El-Sayed’s progressive credentials and endorsement from Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. — a move many viewed as an effort to boost him into the general election.
Here’s hoping this goes as well for them as Hillary’s Trump gambit did for her.
Their belief is probably just that his very Muslim-sounding name and chanting “socialist” is enough for them to propagandize his general election bid and scare off enough closet racists in the center.
I wish I could be confident that that won’t work. But as Trump proved, propaganda can work and work well, and anti-Muslim sentiment has been a daily staple for Fox News and the right for decades. I just hope that people surprise me.
LET’S GOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Nyt is saying the race is too close to call with 95% of the vote in
To be fair, it’s difficult to call a close primary election. In general elections, if the, for example, Republican candidate is behind and there are only Democratic leaning areas with votes left to count, you can safely call that election before all the votes are counted.
In a primary, it’s Democratic candidate vs Democratic candidate, (or RvR) so there are no shortcuts to use to call it early. The only shortcut available is if one candidate is farther ahead than there are votes left to count.
It also looks like the AP hasn’t yet called it either.
NYT is a complete joke and also pro Stevens so that’s not surprising
Did the people stand up? Let’s set the democrat establishment against them…
