I think conservatives think about transgender folks more than transgender folks do.

Am transgender, can confirm. I see far more stories about what conservatives think about us than I actually think about being trans. Like, I transitioned a decade ago, it’s just not a prominent part of my life anymore. I wish they’d leave us alone.

This dumb bitch used to go to my parents’ church. She left because the church decided to support their queer members. My mother, a veteran teacher in Wake County, is going to speak at the legislature to give her a piece of her mind, especially due to her harassment of a trans teacher in the county. The teachers here overwhelmingly do not support her or the conservative bullshit this legislature tries to force (much to their disappointment). They enforce the messed up rules intended to harm queer kids with cis kids, to get the parents motivated to push back (like refusing to call a cis kid by their nickname unless the parents have submitted the right paperwork for an alternate name), and will not out children to their parents. Stand by our teachers and help them resist legislation like this.

edit: the entire reason for her introducing this law is because she’s awfully pressed about a trans music teacher existing.

They spend so much more resources on the extreme minority. Fuck groceries. Fuck healthcare. Fuck your old people, job protection, gas, housing, stupid shit like data centers and billionaires.

    It’s the trans.

There’s just no good reason. Might as well legislate that girls wear pink and boys wear blue. Equally as baseless and invasive of free expression.

MAGA, if we’re going back to all the other stuff, we should go back to boys wearing pink and girl blue. And both dresses until they’re older.

Wake County officials told WRAL that employee dress codes cannot be enforced in a way that discriminates against a protected class, which includes gender identity.

Not for long. This is a red state, not a “purple state” despite misconceptions. The republican-dominated state Supreme Court will just enshrine whatever terrible thing they want into law regardless of legislation.

They’ve already done a lot to hurt trans students, so they’re expanding the range of people they attack.

They haven’t stopped the earlier attacks, so the “worrying” isn’t gone.

It’s so nice that U.S. politicians give people these kinds of things to talk about so they don’t have to focus on the healthcare and food and education they’re not getting.
