Figures are source of dispute as US defense department days ago reduced record of troops killed and wounded
I’ve checked the article, and the source data (https://dcas.dmdc.osd.mil/dcas/conflictCasualties/oefu/deaths), the article headline is just wrong and since this post is using the article headline, it’s wrong too. There have been 14 deaths and 417 wounded. No where does it say 600… Not sure where that number is coming from. Just FYI
To put that into perspective, it took the US nearly FOUR YEARS to rack up that many casualties in Afghanistan. The people running the military are incompetent as fuck.
fighting militia who can barely fight back vs someone with actual resources you cannot just blow up with air superiority
The people running the military are incompetent as fuck.
The only good thing about this.
Because Iran is not bombing girls schools but military bases.
Yeah, Iran’s unmatched in respect for human rights and the laws of war.
Civilians in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries are at grave risk from ongoing Iranian strikes in response to US and Israeli military attacks on Iran, Human Rights Watch said today. Many of the Iranian attacks have struck civilian residential buildings, hotels, civilian airports, and embassies, and have unlawfully targeted civilian objects such as financial centers.

“If our security is not ensured, no infrastructure will be safe.” - Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, July 22
Its an important clarification.
Its easy to get carried away with my hatred of Trump, and think fondly of Iran in an enemy-of-my-enemy kind of way. I have to remind myself that Irans ruling class is also detestable.
The US being a villain doesn’t make Iran a hero. It’s an all-you-eat buffet of villainy.
The thing is though, this is all an optional illegal war to distract from the Epstein files so the US’s child raping ruling class can continue to evade justice.
The U.S. is absolutely more evil here. It’s not even close.
I don’t think that’s true at all.
I mean the US has kinda rapidly descended towards being evil. Iran has been evil consistently since the revolution in '79.
The revolution that was a response to the USA staging a coup two decades earlier to install their oil-company-friendly dictator over their democratically elected leader that thought the oil profits should benefit the people instead of international oil companies?
America ALWAYS been evil. It’s delusional to think it was “just recent!”
It’s almost like war is going on or something…

Casualties does not equal deaths. Casualties also including injuries that make someone no longer combat effective. So pretty much anyone that is injured and needs medical attention.
