They’re increasing fines but not enough. That’s still cost of doing business to Google.
They made over 30 billion of purr profit last year. $1B, which may or not get collected is laughable. As you said, cost of doing business.
I think the EU are just trying to get some of the money quickly before Google spends all of it on AI
While the fine is just as “slap in the wrist”, nothing will change.
